Angonguin Radio Observatory a radio observatory in Alonguin Park, Ontario, owned by the National Research Council of Canada. Its radio telescope is a dish 46 m in diameter.-1- 
Arecibo Obsrevatory a radio observatory near Arecibo, Puerto Rico owned by Cornell University. It has the world's largest single radio astronomy dish, 305 m in diameter, but it is fixed in place and can only point upwards.-2-
Effelsberg Radio Observatory the observatory near Bonn of the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy. It has the world's largest radio dish that can be pointed to any part of the sky, 100 m in diameter.-3-
Jordell Bank a radio observatory at Macclesfield, Cheshire, owned by the University of Manchester. It's largest radio telescope is a 76 m dish.-4-
Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory the radio observatory of the University of Cambridge. It has two large aperture synthesis telescopes: the One Mile telescope, consisting of three 18 m dishes in a line 1 mile long; and the five km telescope, consisting of eight 13 m dishes in a line 5 km long.-5-
National Radio Astronomy Observatory radio observatory at Green Bank, West Virginia, owned by a group of American universities. It's largest radio telescopes are dishes of 91 m and 43 diameter. The National Radio Astronomy Observatory also runs the Very Large Array.-6-
Parkes Observatory Australia's national radio astronomy observatory, near Parkes, New South Wales, owned by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO). It's largest radio telescope is a 64 m dish.-7-
Very Large Array an aperture synthesis radio telescope near Socorro, New Mexico, run by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. It consists of 27 dishes each 25 m in a diameter arranged in a Y-shape with arms up to 21 km long.-8-
Westerbork Radio Observatory an aperture synthesis radio telescope near Groningen, Netherlands, owned by Netherland's foundation for Radio Astronomy. It has twelve 25 m dishes in a line 1.5 km long.-9-
