Dr. ANAHID DERVARTANIAN

TITLE: Kulwicki is director of Wayne Country Public Health Department. She also is a registered nurse of Oakland University professor.

EDUCATION: Kulwicki, a native of  Lebanon, has graduated from Armenian Evangelical Sec. School Anjar, has a nursing degree from the American University of Beirut. She earned her master's degree and doctoratein nursing at Indiana University.

EXPERIENCE: She previously served as a clinical manager for Children's Hospital of Michigan and health research director for the Arab Community Center for Economic and  Social Services. Kulwicki is an editorial review board member of the Journal of Culture Diversity and the Journal of Transcultural Nursing. She has been consulting editor for the International Nurse since 1987.

PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH; Tobacco use among the teens, health care access, diabetes awareness, STD prevention and prenatal health advocacy.

PERSONAL; A resident of Troy. Kulwicki  is married with two daughters. She has wanted to be nurse since she was a highschool student in the ARMENIAN EVANGELICAL SECONDARY SCHOOL in ANJAR, LEBANON.
