So, the schools must update themselves and should aim at providing their students with the means that should lead to professionalism. This should be accompanied with the readiness of the students for going to university, and after graduating to keep in touch with the progress going on in each field of specialty. However, we should not forget that although it is an age of knowledge and science, crime and evil also have high percentage in our society. From the Christian perspective this is the consequence of sin. and this can lead the misuse of science and knowledge and thus spreading evil in society. As an Evangelical school we believe that the need for religion in unavoidable and learning the truths of the Bible and being in God's grace through Jesus Christ, will conquer evil and make it possible for the individual to be a pioneer for good works. Finally, as Armenian Evangelical school we can not forget our Armenian identity and the reality of being away from our homeland. For us keeping our faith, language, and culture are essential for keeping our identity as Armenians. With these thoughts I wish that the 1999-2000 academic year would be a turning point in our way as we try to educate our students academically and spiritually. On this occasion I convey my thanks to all those that made this page possible and to each graduate and to the friends of our school. Rev. Raffi Messerlian (The principal) |
