The Boys' Building

The boarding department of our school is located in Anjar. In 1955 the first boarding students were accepted. Between 1962-68 three buildings were erected to meet the requirements for so many children from all over the world: from Adis Ababa, Iran, Irak, Syria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt and Lebanon. The boarding department resembled a mini United Nations. Even though the students were from different countries, yet they were communicating with each other with the same language-Armenian- and with the language of the Christian love. They were living with each other in peace, without any "police force" .It was the only safe harbour that we safely anchor ourselves.
