Mr H. Tilbian was born in HOMS in 1945 under the roof of Hovsep and Khatoun Tilbian's. He has a brother Dr Levon , and two sisters, Ani and Arpi, who are in teaching career in Homs. His father had been a person who respected the Armenian traditions and culture, so he educated his children accordingly. He was one of the founders of (H.P.E.M) chapter in HOMS.

    In 1978 Mr Haig Tilbian married Miss Maro Movsesian. God blessed the family with two children: Joseph and Maral. Mr Tilbian received his elementary education in his home town Homs, and intermediate and secondary education in the Arm. Evang. Sec. School in Anjar. After graduating from the Evang. School, he entered the Haigazian University and received his B. B.A . He started working as a teacher in ANJAR. He then entered AUB and received his M.A in Educational Administration. For many years he worked in Haigazian University at the Registrar's Office and in Student's Life office.
In 1977 he became the regional field director in Middle East (Turkey, Syria, Iran, Jordan) of the Jinishian Social Welfare. He was a member of H.P.E.M ' s regional committee. Chairman and then member of the educational committee of H.P.E.M in Lebanon. Member of the board of trustees of Melkonian Educational Foundation in Cyprus. Member of board of trustess of Khatcher Kalousdian Educational Center. Member of the board of trustees of "zvartnots" school. (This school is for retarded sutdents.) Secretary of the judiciary committee of the Armenian Pralecy in Lebanon.
He died on 16th of May 1999.
He was awarded with the Cilicia's Medal of (ASBED).
