History of the Alumni

ARMENIAN EVANGELICAL SCHOOL IN AINJAR had its first graduates in 1956.There was no alumni association for a long time, although several attempts were made. In December 1985, some of the graduates gathered with the principal of the school Rev. Hovhannes Sarmazian and put the foundation of the association. 45 graduates were present in the first meeting.  During this meeting Mr.Minas Tejirian was elected as the temporary chairman of the meeting.  In this meeting an executive committee was elected. The following were the members of the executive committee.

  The committee ‘s main duty was to form the list of the graduates and prepare the constitution of the alumni. It was approved in the first general meeting of the alumni
   The purpose of the Alumni Association can be confined in three main points:
1. To create live relationship among the old and new graduates as well as between them and the mother school.
2. To provide financial and moral assistance to the school and to encourage cultural and art activities in the school.
